GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ILLUSTRATOR
BACKCOUNTRY RETAIL STORE MURALS
The Problem: Seasonally replacing the vinyl on the walls behind the window merchandising displays was not only cost inefficient, but degraded the wall with every replacement.
The Objective: Design something that didn't need to be replaced as often, as well as increase brand awareness, draw attention to the product in the window environment and the store.
The Challenge: This was a difficult challenge because the designs needed to look cohesive and tell the city's story by itself, as well as through windows with merchandise displayed in front of it.
The Solution: I worked with the Backcountry Visual Merchandiser to create an accurately scaled mock of the windows and obstructions for both the Chicago and Seattle stores. I designed these by editing and collaging pre-existing brand illustrations in a way that tells a unique story for each store and city.
