The Objective: Design a Backcountry t-shirt that anyone would want to wear. The shirts would be made and sold in stores.

The Concept: I get inspired by being in the outdoors, finding critters, and learning about nature. I was thinking about birds and their songs and how that could possibly relate back to the brand when I realized the word association between the music they make and the trails we hike. 
 
The Solution: I sketched out some initial designs that ultimately felt too cartoonish. I continued to refine the drawing in Procreate using the Backcountry brand illustrations as a tone guide. The design was finalized in Illustrator.
